L.A. Dodgers Take The Solo Approach to Stay Alive
Seems the Los Angeles Dodgers want to keep enjoying. Using the sudden power on the solo home run and a terrific turnaround pitching performance from Zack Greinke, the Dodgers lived to fight a later date with their 6-4 victory Wednesday afternoon on the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 on the National League Championship Collection.

This victory staved off elimination, but still leaving the actual Cardinals up three games to 2 in the best-of-7 series.

After getting a day off Thursday, the actual series is scheduled to be able to resume Friday with Action six in St. Louis.

This score was tied 2-2 if the Dodgers suddenly discovered their new romance with the solo house run.

Adrian Gonzalez started it having a shot in the 3rd, Carl Crawford added another in the 5th, A. J. Ellis joined this party with one in the 7th, and Gonzalez apparently savoring his first one a great deal, that he added another in this eighth.

Inside first four games on the series, this Dodgers had exactly zero home runs.

The 4 home runs in a game ties the club postseason record, accomplished a second time before.

Greinke struggle with his control early. He had to pitch from a bases-loaded jam in the first and then gave up a couple runs in the 3rd, but then never authorized another baserunner in their seven innings.

Kenley Jansen created factors exciting in the 9th, giving up a couple runs four hits just before catching pinch-hitter Adron Chambers thinking about a third strike having runners on first in addition to second.

Here's an inning-by-inning recap on the NLCS Game 5:

Dodgers 6, Cardinals four (end of 9th, final): The Cardinals got their 1st hit because the third inning when Matt Holliday's fly to appropriate field was apparently lost in this sun by Yasiel Puig, who stabbed delayed and short for that ball.  Then he trotted back again after it as Holliday required second.

Matt Adams lined an individual to center to credit score Holliday, but Kenley Jansen achieved it interesting after striking out Yadier Molina by providing up a single to be able to Jon Jay. He arranged out David Freese just before Pete Kozma delivered some sort of run-scoring single to appropriate field. Jansen then arranged out pinch-hitter Adron Chambers,  who viewed an outside pitch for attack 3.

Dodgers 6, Cardinals only two (end of 8th): The Dodgers scored another via -- do they know some other way? -- this solo home run.

Adrian Gonzalez enjoyed his 1st one a great deal, he added another. This coming against John Axford with 2 outs in the 8th.

Three more outs and so they head back again to this St.. Louis.

Dodgers, Cardinals zero (middle regarding eighth): Brian Wilson followed his beard towards mound and then promptly retired the Cardinals if you want. The last 16 Cardinals have at the moment gone down.
